About Bourton
The Bourton Country Shoe. Tricker’s quintessential men’s country shoe, crafted from premium leathers and robust welts for lasting durability and timeless style. Since its handmade inception in Northampton in 1937, the Bourton Derby has remained a favoured choice for individuals worldwide for over 70 years.
Trickers Bourton is unmistakable, a heavy Derby shoe that bears beautiful brogue detailing, synonymous with true country shoes.
A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal. The storm welt also provides an additional watertight seal between the uppers and sole making your Bourton Derbys suitable for wetter days. Supple leather uppers, strong grip Dainite soles and full-grain leather linings make up the strong Bourton profile.
Goodyear Welted, Bourton Country Shoe
The Goodyear welt provides a long lasting, comfortable fit as well as a sole that’s completely removable and replaceable, the welted sole moulds to your foot over time for unique, bespoke comfort. With a Goodyear welt, you’ll never have to give up the comfort of your Bourtons, a Goodyear welt is completely removable as it’s stitched to the sole for convenient removal. Take care of your uppers and you’ll enjoy your Trickers Bourton’s for years to come.
African Antelope Greater Kudu.
The leather used is African Antelope Greater Kudu.
Due to their grazing habits mainly amongst thorn trees, the Kudu hide becomes scratched and scarred. These marks give the leather its inimitable character making each pair of shoes and boots completely unique.
Ridgeway Sole
It is a hard wearing rubber sole characterised by protruding lugs and large ridge channels that offer great traction and stability. Ridgeway soles are more lightweight than commando soles but are thicker than Dainite boot soles and have a slightly raised profile.
It is an excellent all purpose sole and performs well in nearly every condition.
Trickers Bourton Last
To commemorate King George VI's coronation in 1937, Trickers commissioned the 4444 last. Seventy years later, the same last is still used to create this infamous country Derby.
Trickers Bourton Sizing
These are a generous fitting shoe and therefore typically larger by half a size. So, if you normally take a UK size 8, we recommend you try a size 7.5.
